The Developmental Knights League Championship concluded yesterday, Saturday, featuring 36 teams representing six age categories. Each team participated with 20 players, and the matches were held on fields equipped with all necessary requirements for conducting football games.
The teams were divided into six groups, with each group consisting of six teams. Matches took place every Saturday over the course of two months. It’s noteworthy that the players engaged in a significant number of matches, with the duration of each match ranging from 50 to 60 minutes, which is considered a long and beneficial time for acquiring experience and skills in competitive matches.
The Developmental Knights League aims to provide a complete opportunity for academy players to showcase their talents. The championship was organized in a full league format before moving on to the knockout stages. It also adhered to all FIFA officiating rules, with the exception of offside situations.
